Wesley Helps Give “Hope for the Children of Africa”

Hope for the Children of Africa is a task force of the Pacific Northwest Conference of the United Methodist Church. Since 2000 through a partnership with the South Congo Episcopal Area, we support two orphanages and collaborate with mission teams in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

This spring, the churches in the Pacific Northwest UMC conference donated $80,000 to Jamaa Letu orphanages: $40,000 for the boys’ orphanage and $40,000 for the girls.’

Wesley UMC provided approximately $571 to the campaign. Please know that donations can be made at any time of the year to the Jamaa Letu orphanages. Just put your contribution in an envelope marked Hope for the Children of Africa or Jamaa Letu.  It will be sent to the PNW UMC conference office.
